Personality: When one meets Juvia Lockser, at first glance, they might think she's an elegant girl. Her appearance (and BGM!) certainly gives off that air, and the initial glimpse of her certainly supports that. But all of that quickly goes out the window once you get to know her! Juvia the exact opposite of a calm, refined lady, to be perfectly honest. Juvia is actually quite childish; speaking in third person most of the time, lapsing easily into bouts of fangirlish glee and mental fantasies at the drop of a hat whenever her precious Gray-sama is around... and he always is. She... tends to stalk him. A lot.

This childishness isn't really a sign of immaturity, though. Well... not immaturity out of choice. Due to her water magic, from the time she was born, it was always raining around Juvia. She was more or less shunned by society because of this; her schoolmates hated her because the rain ruined every trip she was involved with, and any potential boyfriends would dump her, since the rain made it impossible for them to go outside. Because of this, Juvia isn't really... well-versed in terms of social interaction. Even though the guild clearly accepts her into the fold right off the bat, Juvia feels the need to go above and beyond the call of duty to prove that she loves her new family and wants to be in Fairy Tail. She can also be pretty shy at times.

Yes, she is certainly a woman of emotion. Juvia more or less runs on pure emotion. If someone threatens to kill Gray? She'll go full-on yandere to the point where she scares Erza, one of the most level-headed mages in the guild. She will tear into anyone who threatens the man she loves, and will do absolutely anything to protect him, even if it's at the cost of her own safety. She even went so far as to break her own leg to stop an enemy that shared a sensory link with her and Gray from killing herself (thus killing Juvia and Gray as well). Emotion gives her strength. There is nothing she can or won't do if it's for the sake of someone she cares about. But she has enough sense to stop herself; she could have easily killed Meredy for trying to kill Gray, but instead she tells her that as a mage of Fairy Tail, she can't kill anyone, not even someone like that.

Juvia may seem obsessive and clingy when it comes to Gray, but when it really boils down to it, she's not completely blind. She may get in the way of anyone trying to hurt Gray, but she would never go against Natsu, whose scuffles with Gray are more of a show of friendship, if anything. She considers Lucy her "rival in love", but she's still quite close to the other girl. Her world doesn't completely revolve around Gray, and she's more than capable of making friends with others and people she may have once considered threats by this point.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ Emotion. Erza says it perfectly: Juvia gets her strength from her strong feelings towards a loved one.
+ Juvia is on the power level of an S-class mage and has a vast knowledge of the magical world because of this.
+ Devotion. If you make friends with Juvia, you will have a true comrade always watching your back.

- Juvia still isn't the best at dealing with people. Social interaction sure is awkward!
- Her obsession with Gray could definitely get her stuck in some sticky situations, should anything happen to him.
- When it comes to fighting, Juvia isn't used to having to dodge around avoiding attacks, due to her water body. If things ever turned violent, she would be at a disadvantage here.

Samples
First Person Sample: [Good morning, Johto and Kanto! Do you like weird 'gear camera angles? SURE YOU DO. And this one sure is weird; from what it seems, the 'gear is lying on its side on the ground, and is picking up the frantic pacing of... a pair of bandaged, bare feet. Several other starter supplies are scattered within view, so it's likely whoever this is just dropped their bag in a hurry.]

Aaah, not good, not good...

[The feet stop pacing, turning this way and that.] Acnologia attacked... but Juvia was transported somewhere else? Somewhere that isn't Fairy Tail...

[The voice certainly sounds dejected at that, before letting out a surprised "Ah!"] GRAY-SAMAAAA!! [Whoa hey that was loud.] If Juvia was strangely transported somewhere else, than Gray-sama must have been too!!

[And with that, the person runs out of view, calling out to "Gray-sama" again and again.]

Third Person Sample: Juvia never thought she would miss her magic.

It had been nothing but a curse to her, for seventeen years. Ame-onna. Rain Woman. Her magic - the constant downpour of rain that used to follow her around no matter where she went - did nothing but make people sad, angry... herself included. Before joining up with Phantom Lord and later Fairy Tail, there's nothing she would not have given to just make it go away.

But when the rain cleared, when she had become surrounded by mages who cared about her and saw her magic as something useful, something they could rely on... well. It wasn't that bad. And it sure had its perks. It was something she could use to protect her beloved Gray-sama, and all her dear comrades! Her curse had turned into a gift, and she fully embraced it.

She had found out about the loss of her magic quickly after she arrived in this land, but it didn't really sink in until now. Now, when she was sailing slowly across the sea towards Cianwood City on the back of her pokemon. Being so close yet so disconnected from her element was... strange. Unnerving, in a way. And Juvia didn't like it.

"Jeez..." She flopped over as best as she could onto the pokemon's back without toppling overboard, letting her hand trail into the water. "Juvia sure wishes she could go home right about now..."
